Now You Must Now Stand And Fight

Great people will always be mocked by those who feel smaller than them. However, a lion does not flinch at laughter coming from a hyena. A gorilla does not budge from a banana thrown at it by a monkey. A nightingale does not stop singing its beautiful song at the intrusion of an annoying woodpecker. Whenever you should question your self-worth, remember the lotus flower. Even though it plunges to life from beneath the mud, it does not allow the dirt that surrounds it to affect its growth or beauty.

As I considered the evil which abounds, a darkness which pierces our soul, takes me back to the beginning. The founding fathers fought to break the chains of slavery at all costs. They no longer wanted their freedoms surrendered to the power of the Crown. They knew evil and saw it firsthand. Yet, they refused to cower and fought back, and won.

But in today’s world, today’s America, evil has advanced to a whole new level. From the top down, society’s corruption makes the horrors of the past non-existent. Those who try to walk the righteous line, religious or not, are persecuted by those of ill repute. Rich, poor, male or female, it doesn’t matter. If you refuse to toe the line, your end draws nigh.

But I can assure each one, stand fast. Never withdraw from your beliefs, and if martyrdom becomes the path forward, so be it. In this life, we only have one to answer to, the King of heaven and no other.

Walk in the light, step out of the darkness and proclaim the truth no matter the cost. Don’t twist reality for anyone. State facts and let the hammer drop where it may. For anything else, is pure evil.
