Note: This line of virus is used in the Johnson & Johnson COVID shot as a delivery mechanism.
The adenovirus exhibits the same symptoms as the common cold and flu and can last a few day up to two weeks. It's highly contagious and easily spread. It attacks the upper and lower respiratory tract and mirrors almost to perfection bronchiolitis, croup, pneumonia and now coronavirus (COVID) (Mary L. Gavin, MD. 2018).
With COVID, we've seen adverse reactions which mirror more severe manifestations of this strain, Meningitis and Encephalitis (ibid). Another common trait, it attacks those with weakened immune systems or comorbidities such as respiratory or heart disease (CDC. 2019).
Other symptoms with Adenoviruses include:
acute gastroenteritis (inflammation of the stomach or intestines causing diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain)
bladder inflammation or infection
eye redness and pain (conjunctivitis)
frequent peeing, burning pain while peeing, blood in the urine
headaches
neurologic disease (conditions that affect the brain and spinal cord)
sore throat
As stated by research, the best medicine for most symptoms don't warrant a vaccine as most get better on their own with bed rest and fluids alone (Mary L. Gavin, MD. 2018).
